POINTS OF INTEREST • "Go Nuts to Fight Domestic Abuse" Media
Contest
- Held during the hours of Festival. All proceeds go to the Family Sunshine Center.
• Young Artists Gallery
- A "Decorate the Festival Tree" contest. Open to all third and fourth
graders in the Montgomery School System. Ribbons and certificates awarded
to the winners.
• Why move to Riverfront Park?
- Continued loss of parking around Oak Park for people attending
the Festival, and immense wear and tear on the park with 20,000 people and
vehicles impacting the park environment
• Easy Access/Parking
- Festival will have three main gates: Commerce street (leading to the
Tunnel and Wachovia Bank entrance), end of the Train Shed off of Molton
Street, near the new Amphitheatre off of Coosa Street. Ample parking will
be available throughout the downtown area.
• Exhibitor booth fees
- Generate the dollars to present up to $5,000.00 in prizes to winners
of awards in exhibit categories, and, provide basic funds for start up for
the next year. The Festival Association is a non-profit organization.
